I have always been a big spender, and often this has led me down a slippery path with the dreaded credit card companies. I know that I should have more self control when it comes to spending my money, but if I see something I like, then I just have to buy it there and then. This has landed me with a big black mark against my name, and a few years ago I was in real financial difficulties.

I have since managed to pay off nearly all of my debts and am trying to be good with my money. I really don’t know where I would be if I hadn’t switched to using the prepaid money card as I am just one of those people that can’t resist spending the money if it is available to me.

My credit card company gave me a huge limit on the card, and I was wreckless, and I managed to max it out within a month. It then took me years to pay off! With the prepaid money card there is no danger of this happening, as the only money in the account is the money you put in, and there are no charges, overdraughts or anything like that, so even if you spend all the money in the account, you will not end up in debt.

I use the prepaid money card for everything now, and it has taken away the temptation to spend someone else’s money that was all too easy with a credit card in my wallet. In many ways I think that it is the way forward for us all to go; I am not alone in my money spending problems, you can see from the financial crises, that almost everyone else in the country has drawn up big debts. If we all use a prepaid money card then the big debts will stop, although it is not easy in today’s society when we are being constantly bombarded with adverts of all the things we ‘need to have’!
